Speaking Engagements

National Outdoor Recreation Conference Speaker: May 2026

I’m thrilled to be speaking at the 2026 National Outdoor Recreation Conference (NORC) in Duluth, MN, presenting “Creating Impact, Not Crowds: Social Media for Good.” My session will explore how content creators, in partnership with movements like the Resistance Rangers, can leverage digital storytelling to support public lands, amplify conservation messages, and engage communities in advocacy. Attendees will gain practical strategies for using social media to inspire stewardship, translate complex policy into accessible narratives, and drive tangible conservation outcomes.

Utah State University: Basecamp Conference and Workshop 2024

I had the honor of presenting at the Utah State University (USU) Basecamp Conference in Moab, where I shared my research on “Assessing the Economic Impact of Managed Access on Gateway Community Economies.” My presentation explored how visitor use management strategies, like permits, timed entry, and capacity limits, affect local economies in gateway communities. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with leaders and peers in outdoor recreation and gateway community development. Special thank you to AllTrails for the scholarship to attend.
